Here dreams come true and wild gallops on endless beaches are reality. We operate with great love and passion and are proud to provide unique horse riding experiences for all riding levels. You’ll become part of our family as soon as you step your foot through the door.

Who We Are

Cheval Essaouira was founded by Mohammed and Stephanie who share a lifelong passion for horses and riding. Their dream was to share unforgettable horse riding experiences and unique Moroccan hospitality with riders from around the world.

Mohammed is the heart and soul of Cheval Essaouira. He will welcome you with an open heart and big energy. Mohammed is an experienced horseman, trained and qualified in the National Horse Institute of Rabat, and he has himself trained all of our horses with great love and passion. Stephanie is based in France managing reservations, communication and customer care before and after your trip to Essaouira.

Mohammed and Stephanie are supported by a team who are all proud of their profession, have great respect for our magnificent horses and make sure no guest leaves without great memories and a big smile on their face. The team speak Arabic, French and English.

Our Stables

Our colourful stables are located in the village of Diabat, only 2 kilometres from the city of Essaouira in Morocco. We offer a range of experiences on a horseback for all levels of riders, from beginner riding classes to wild gallops on nearby beaches. Our multiday treks are popular for a truly unique experience bonding with your horse and camping under the stars.

Our Horses

Our horses are Barb or Barb/ Arabian crossbred stallions. They are well trained, extremely responsive, forward going, fit and know their job – making for excellent trail horses.

We provide rides for all levels and our horses know to adapt to their rider’s experience. They can be calm and kind to kids and beginners, and be more energetic and faster with advanced riders. All of our horses, as well as dogs and cats, are well taken care of and treated like part of the family.
